The Most Fabulous Swimsuits from Miami Fashion Week

I've always heard of Miami Fashion Week but I've never really seen pictures from the shows, so I was always curious what kind of clothes they featured on their runways. Well, they do feature actual clothes but a majority of the show features swimsuits and the swimsuits are amazing. I'm pretty sure people come to Miami Fashion Week just to see the swimsuits! After hearing about Miami Fashion Week at Seventeen's website, I thought I would share with you some of my favorite swimsuits from the shows. So here they are and tell me what you think:

Looking edgy in Ed Hardy!

Kristin Cavallari in a glass bikini! SAY WHAT?

Ruffles, Polka-dots, and pearls, OH MY!

This swimsuit leaves me speechless!

This bikini is so cute! I love me some florals!

Tribal prints are really popping up everywhere!

I think this swimsuit is super girly!

Adrienne Bailon look flirty and fun!

I love the bow! This would have been perfect for July 4th!

I saved the fiercest for last!
So I hope you guys liked these swimsuits! I thought they were really fun and perfect for the summer! Even though, the summer's almost gone for most of us, these swimsuits can still get us excited for next summer! I hope these suits will serve as inspiration the next time you guys go swimsuit shopping!

Books I'm Coveting

For a while now, there have been a couple books that I have been dying to read. So I thought, why not share them with you guys! Here's just a head-up, most of the books are really girly, so if that's not your thing, sorry! So here they are:

So I know this book has been out for a while, but I still haven't been able to get myself a copy. I've heard it's a must-have for any trying to make it big in the fashion industry. I feel I really need this book because I have so many questions about the fashion industry that I think this book can answer.

I know I've already talked about this book, but I heard so many good reviews about this book. It's perfect for helping you find your own personal style.Any fashionista will find this book helpful!

I really want to read this book. It was published by the company Pick-A-Poppy and they publish all my favorite books. It's from the writers of the celebrity blog GoFugYourself.com. Spoiled is about a 16 year old girl named Molly Dix, who finds out she's the daughter of a mega-rich  movie-star, Brick Berlin. To find out more about her father she moves to LA and is immediately thrust into the fast-paced life of  celebrities. She then meets her half-sister Brooke Berlin who is anything but nice to her and realizes that in LA nothing is ever what it seems. It sounds really good and I can't wait to get my hands on this!

This is the final book I really want to read. I read the first one, Monster High, and it was so good. I love the idea of the books and they're by one of my favorite authors Lisi Harrison! I have to say it does kind of remind me of the Clique books but it definetly has some details that distinguish them. This is the sequel and it focuses on Cleo de Nile, whereas the first one focused on Frankie Stein. I think this is a fun series to read and they aren't that long either which is pretty good. You guys should definetly give the book a try!

I hope I didn't bore you guys with my "book talk"! I think everyone should read a good book every once in a while. I would love to know what books you guys are reading right now. Please leave a comment below and let me know because I'm always on the look-out for some new, interesting books.

Current Obsession: Nail Art

Recently I have been noticing a lot of the new trends with nails. There are so many different designs and colors that you can try on your nails. Gone are the days of wearing the ever-popular french manicure, now we are on to bigger and better things! I personally think nail art is cool and now that they have those cute little nail strips, making your nails look cute is less time-consuming. So to help you guys out, I put together some of the most amazing nail art trends I could find. I think you guys will love them! So here they are:

1. Multi-Colored Nails:
Multi-colored nails are one of the biggest trends of the summer for nails. They are just so fun! Why paint your nails one color when you can paint them many different colors? You have endless possibilities when it comes to multi-colored nails. You can try pastel colors for a sweeter, girlier look or even add a design on a nail for a cool look. I'm pretty sure that we will definetly be bringing this trend with us for back-to-school!
This one isn't really multi-colored but it could be if you tweaked it a little more!

Candy-coated colors make your nails look super-sweet!
2. Tribal Nails:
Tribal prints have been showing up everywhere- on our clothes, nails, accessories, and now...nails! Tribal prints give your nails that whole world traveler feel. I think these perfect for spicing up a really simple outfit!
These are my favorites! I love the intricate design.
A much simpler design in a bold orange!
3. Floral Nails:
Floral prints have always been popular! Who doesn't love wearing a pretty floral sundress? Floral prints always make you feel extra feminine and girly so why not do the same with your nails? Whether the prints are big or small, your nails are sure to be looking super gorgeous! Plus, all the floral prints remind me of all those Dolce and Gabbana advertisements I was seeing for spring 2011!
So dainty looking!

Stripes and floral prints look so good together, especially in pastels!
4. Nails with Fun Top Coats:
Remember when top coats were only clear and they were just used for making you manicures last longer? Well, that's no longer the case! Top coats are now just as fabulous as the nail polish under them! They complete your nail look by taking your bland nails to the next level!
These nails look so edgy, thanks to the purple glitter!
I love the confetti! It's fit for a party!
So as you can see, there are so many fabulous things you can do with your nails. These are just suggestions, so come up with your own fun ways to decorate your nails. Who knows maybe you'll start the next nail trend?

Stay fierce and funky!

FYI : Fashion You Indulge

So I know it's been a while since I've done an FYI, but I'm back with another one! I hope you guys will find this post as interesting as the last one!

The lovely Vanessa Hudgens traded in her gorgeous long locks for a cute cropped cut. It's all for her new movie Gimme Shelter. Lots of people were surprised because they thought it was just a wig. When I found out I couldn't believe it! Long hair has been her signature look, even in her High School Musical days. I think that Vanessa is really brave to rock a whole new look, especially when she's the one who cut her own her off! Yep, that's right guys, Vanessa took matters into her own hands and cut all her hair off at home! She felt it would give the look an authentic feel for her character in the movie. If that doesn't show dedication, I don't know what does!

Teen queen, Selena Gomez is joining her boyfriend Justin Beiber and best friend Taylor Swift in the making a fragrance! Selena just landed her own fragrance deal, so soon you'll be seeing her perfume  on the shelves right next to Justin's "Someday". Her fragrance is set to launch Spring 2012, so get excited! I can already assume that her fragrance will be just as fabulous as she is! I can wait to see it and smell it!

The Kardashians are launching their own OPI nail polish collection! The colors are as glitzy and glam as the stylish Kardashian sisters! The polishes were named after all three sisters, plus Kendall, Kylie, and Kris! The collection will be out around Christmas and will be available around Walmart. I can't wait to see the collection because I just know it will be incredible! I definetly know what I'm asking for from Santa, this year!

Well I hope you enjoyed this week's FYI! I know I did! Stay fierce and fabulous!

Fashion Inspiration: Pretty Little Liars

For those of you who were watching Pretty Little Liars last night, you saw that they put on a fashion show. I was super excited to see that episode. Ever since I saw the preview for it last Tuesday, I've been counting down till when I could see it! The show was fabulous. The Rosewood girls definetly know how to put on a fashion show! Everything was just so fabulous! I thought I would show you some pics from the episode so you can drool over them ,too! Check them out:
I love the dark colors! Looks kind of vintage-y!

Hanna and Aria's dresses are vintage Alexander McQueen!

Work it, girls!

Big sunglasses + Resort wear = The perfect beach look!

The look like a fierce version of cave woman!

Mona looking sweet with in a black floppy hat! So 70's inspired!
I'm so glad that they had a fashion show! It reminds me of the fashion show my Fashion Marketing class put on last spring. We called it, The Chic du Soleil! You know like, Cirque du Soliel. Anyway, yes it was circus-inspired ,but not in the way you would think! Everyone didn't dress like clowns! We just had different acts like a circus and featured tons of really cool looks! It was so much fun! I was the one who came up with the name and theme! Even to this day, I still can't believe they used my theme! I think everyone need to either throw or model in a fashion show, at least once in their life. They are amazing! I can't wait to throw another one next year in my Advanced Fashion Marketing class!

What's your favorite part about fashion shows?
