Fashion Week: BCBG Max Azria Spring 2012

I can't believe today was the first day of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week! It's unbelievable! I'm so excited because this is my first time reporting on fashion week for you guys! I will definetly not be able to report on every designer but I will try to do some of the ones I find interesting to share with you all. Not long ago I saw pictures of the BCBG Max Azria fashion show and I thought it was pretty interesting. I don't know that much about Max Azria and his clothes, so hang in there with me. The only thing I know about him is that he had a fashion line with Miley Cyrus for Walmart. That's pretty sad isn't it! Well hopefully after fashion week, I'll get to know about a lot more different designers.
This dress was one of my favorites from the collection. I love how they combined a bold tribal print with such a sheer, flowy fabric. It look so trendy yet feminine. Who knew a dress could have cut outs at the shoulders and still be one-shouldered?

Color-blocking is back for spring! I like how they used such bright sunny colors but paired them with a neutral color like grey! It's such a great contrast!

Even though this is a maxi dress, I don't really feel a bohemian vibe from it. The colors and the lightweight fabric of the dress make it seem kind of sporty!

I love those pants! Are they velour sweatpants? The give the outfit this whole urban feel and make the outfit seem kind of casual. More of the sheer and cold-shoulder look!

This print of the dress and the shark-bit cut of the dress kind of give of a surfer vibe. It doesn't hurt that the dress is blue either!

I love the weird neckline of this dress! It's like a regular dress but then it's also kind of a halter. The yellow underlay of the dress is so pretty!
The lovely Azrias! Look at the smiles on their faces! Adorable!
I think this collection was pretty successful! Their was definelty a lot of dress, which is no surprise because who doesn't like wearing dresses in spring? I like how the dresses were really flowy and light! Max Azria stuck with darker greys, greens, teals, and blues for colors. I really loved how he mixed the tribal trend with last season's color blocking trend. He pulled it off perfectly! This show in my opinion was a success and I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures from tomorrow's shows!

P.S. Today in my french class, my french teacher announced that we are going to do a project on a famous french person. I decided to do Coco Chanel! All the girls in my class wanted her, but I got her first! I can't wait to start working on this project!
